Organist

Vilimas Norkūnas is well known in Lithuania with this variaty of performance skills – from solo recitals in Baroque music, to exellent acompaning choral projects (new CD release: oratorio "The Face of Christ" of V. Augustinas in 2018, concerts with Saint-Sants Christmas oratorio, Pergolesi Stabat Mater and other beautiful compositions). In solo music he creates special aura with natural breathing and speaking of instrument. When Vilimas accomponing, he melts sounds to one body with choir.

Last year he gave workshop about organ playing for children in North Lithuania and played for them the famous D minor Toccata and Fuga of J.S. Bach. 2018 he gave concert "Vox organi cathedralis" of Christmas festival in capital of Lithuania, where he played german and english Christmas compositions, improvised over well known Carols and merged them with famous lithuanian composers M. K. Čiurlionis preludes.

His special love belongs to historical baroque organs, wich he visits in Latvia, Poland, Germany, Austria and Czeck Republic.
For 2018 he offers a recital programm "Chroma", wich contanes a lot of colors (chroma), chromatic pieces (Italian, German, Netherland composers) and "Lithuanian organ music, celebrating 100 years independence of 1918".
